3/19/2026:
VC Ranches RID 11-1 is looking for 2-3 additional volunteers to serve on the RID Liaison Team. Team members work together to provide direct input into the development of the RID multi-year work plan which includes road maintenance, snow removal, noxious weed control in common areas and along established road easements). Team members meet several times annually and provide direct communication with Gaston Engineering in establishing work priorities and boots on the ground contact with snow removal and weed control contractors.
The Team is comprised of volunteers who will represent their “neighborhood” roads and the general condition of the 17+ miles of roads in the VC Ranches subdivision. The only qualifications are that you are a VR ranches land owner and have a willingness to work as a team for the good of the community.

3/17/2026:
Originally, “Spring” road work per the 3-year plan would have begun on Two Bumps Road closer to May. That is because normally the winter/spring conditions dictate that month being the first time improvements can typically be done. However, with the extremely mild winter we had, the roads are in a condition where we will begin next Wednesday through Friday. Two Bumps, from the edge of the pavement to the intersection at Tobe, will be re-graded, 950 cu yds of gravel added, watered, compacted, and mag chloride applied.

Notify homeowners that there is road work coming up soon. Everyone should plan appropriately as there may be delays or the need to drive an alternate road while construction is underway.
